Grilled Mongolian Steak Bites
- 1 pound Steak (Ribeye, New York Strip whichever you prefer)
- 1 cup Soy sauce
- 2 TBSP Brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp Garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp powdered Ginger
- 1/4 tsp Black pepper
- ***Note, if using wooden BBQ skewers soak in water for 1 hour or longer before using.
- Trim steak of excess fat and cut into bite-sized pieces.
- Mix marinade ingredients an add steak bites.
- Marinade for about 15 to 20 minutes.
- (no longer than 30 minutes)
- Remove steak bites from marinade and pat as dry as possible.
- Then arrange a barbecue skewers.
- Set up your grill for Direct Heat.
- (a hot layer of charcoal on the back 2/3rd of the grill leaving the front empty and heat free).
- Make a grill shield from heavy-duty aluminum foil.
- Take a long piece and fold it in half (long ways) and crimp the sides.
- Grill steak bikes directly over the heat for only a minute or 2 per side.
- Rotate and roll as needed to avoid the hot spots.
- Be careful not to overcook.
