Grilled Mongolian Steak Bites

  1. ***Note, if using wooden BBQ skewers soak in water for 1 hour or longer before using.
  2. Trim steak of excess fat and cut into bite-sized pieces.
  3. Mix marinade ingredients an add steak bites.
  4. Marinade for about 15 to 20 minutes.
  5. (no longer than 30 minutes)
  6. Remove steak bites from marinade and pat as dry as possible.
  7. Then arrange a barbecue skewers.
  8. Set up your grill for Direct Heat.
  9. (a hot layer of charcoal on the back 2/3rd of the grill leaving the front empty and heat free).
  10. Make a grill shield from heavy-duty aluminum foil.
  11. Take a long piece and fold it in half (long ways) and crimp the sides.
  12. Grill steak bikes directly over the heat for only a minute or 2 per side.
  13. Rotate and roll as needed to avoid the hot spots.
  14. Be careful not to overcook.
