Korean BBQ Short Ribs

  1. Sear ribs in half the dressing in a roasting pan on medium-high heat 4 min.
  2. on each side or until browned on both sides.
  3. Remove ribs from pan.
  4. Add remaining dressing and carrots to pan; saute until lightly browned.
  5. Remove carrots from pan.
  6. Return ribs to pan; add chiles.
  7. Saute on medium heat 2 min.
  8. Whisk broth, barbecue sauce, orange juice, honey and flour until well blended; pour over ribs.
  9. Bring to boil; cover.
  10. Simmer on low heat 1-1/2 hours.
  11. Add carrots; cook 30 min.
  12. or until ribs are tender.
  13. Remove ribs, carrots and chiles from sauce; discard chiles.
  14. Skim excess fat from sauce.
  15. Stir soy sauce and orange zest into sauce.
