Texas Style Chili
- 3 lb. ground chuck
- 2 lg. onions, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup chili powder
- 2 tbsp. all purpose flour
- 1 tbsp. sugar
- 1 tbsp. oregano
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 cans (1-3/4 lb. each) diced tomatoes, undrained
- 3 cans (1 lb. each) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- Combine ground chuck, onions and garlic; cook until; meat is browned.
- Drain well.
- Stir in next 6 ingredients.
- Cover and simmer one hour, stirring occasionally.
- Add beans and simmer an additional 20 minutes.
- Offer your guests diced raw onion, jalapeno slices, and shredded cheddar cheese as toppings,
