Pork Fillets with Vegetable Sauce
- 700 grams Pork fillet
- 2 big sized ones Onions
- 1 large Carrot
- 100 ml Sake
- 50 ml Mirin
- 50 ml Japanese Worcestershire-style sauce
- 150 ml Ketchup
- 2 tbsp Sugar
- 2 tbsp Flour
- 1 dash Salt
- 1 dash Pepper
- 2 tbsp Vegetable oil
- Slice the onions and carrot into 2mm thick (make the lengths uniform.)
- Slice the pork fillet 1cm thick and sprinkle salt and pepper to prep.
- Mix all ingredients in advance.
- Put the meat and flour in a plastic bag and shake to coat evenly.
- Heat vegetable oil in a pan and put the meat.
- Grill both sides on medium heat and cook through.
- Keep the meat in a shallow container.
- Wipe the pan you used to grill the meat and heat vegetable oil in it again.
- Add onions and carrots at the same time and stir fry on medium heat.
- When the onions are wilted, add the sauce from Step 3.
- Simmer to reduce the sauce a little thicken the sauce.
- When the carrots are cooked through, put the meat back in the pan and coat well with the sauce.
