chewy oatmeal cookies
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 cup Brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 cup all purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 3 cup oats, uncooked
- 1 cup raisins or chocolate (optional)
- add both sugars and vanilla to the softened butter.
- beat in the 2 eggs until everything is well blended
- in a separate bowl add together the flour, baking powder, salt and cinnamon.
- stir the dry mixture into the wet mixture until well blended.
- gradually stir in the oats and then set the dough in the fridge for about an hour
- preheat the oven to 375
- roll the dough into small balls and set on a greased cookie sheet.
- use a fork to lightly flatten the balls.
- cook for 12 - 15 minutes.
- let cool and enjoy!
