Lavender Tea Cookies

  1. If you have a mortar and pestle, grind the lavender with the sugar to spread the flavor.
  2. If not, just combine.
  3. Add butter, cream together with a fork.
  4. Cream in extracts and salt.
  5. Mix in flour gradually.
  6. Refridgerate 2 hours, or untill well chilld through.
  7. Note: sitting too long will make the dough too sticky, and the cookies hard.
  8. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  9. Roll dough to about 1/4 inch and cut to desired shape/size.
  10. For a crunchy top, smear cookies with milk using your finger and sprinkle with sugar (or lavender sugar!)
  11. before baking.
  12. Bake 12-15 minutes, until lightly brown.
