Mandarin Spinach Salad Recipe
- 1/2 pound bacon
- 1 (2 1/2 ounce.) pkg. sliced almonds
- 1 (10 ounce.) pkg. fresh spinach, washed, stems removed, chilled
- 1 (11 ounce.) can mandarin oranges, liquid removed & chilled
- Salad: Cook bacon till crisp.
- Drain, crumble and set aside.
- Saute/fry almonds in bacon grease over medium heat till lightly brown.
- Drain.
- In a large bowl, toss spinach and oranges.
- Stir in dressing and almonds.
- Serve immediately.
- Serves 4.
- Dressing: Combine first 10 ingredients in a qt jar and shake well.
- Add in a healthy pinch of dry mustard and Worcestershire sauce.
- Chill.
- Keeps indefinately.
