Alea's Strawberry Sorbet

  1. Add sugar and water to medium sauce pan.
  2. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally.
  3. Remove from heat as soon as the sugar is dissolved.
  4. Puree strawberries in a blender or food processor.
  5. You should have about 4 cups of pureed fruit.
  6. Add pureed strawberries to sugar syrup and mix well.
  7. Place mixture in the refrigerator to cool for one hour.
  8. Place strawberry mixture in an ice-cream maker and follow your models directions to process the sorbet.
  9. It takes approximately 30 minutes.
  10. Place sorbet in a container with a lid and place in the freezer to hard freeze your sorbet.
  11. It takes approximately 3 hours.
