Chocolate Drink (Pre 1940)

• 12 chocolate square (semi-sweet)
• 1 tablespoon sugar
• 1 tablespoon hot water
• 1 cup milk (scalded)
• 18 teaspoon vanilla

1. Break chocolate into pieces.
2. Add hot water.
3. Cook until smooth.
4. Add sugar, stirr until dissolved.
5. Add 1 cup scalded milk.
6. Flavor with vanilla, (to taste).
7. Let cook about 5 minutes in a double boiler.
8. May be served with whipped cream.
