Beef Curry With Apple Recipe
- 2 lbs. boneless beef, cut into 1 inch cubes
- 3 tbsp. flour
- 2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 3 tbsp. drippings (or possibly oil)
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 teaspoon curry pwdr
- 3 whole cloves
- 2 teaspoon sugar
- 1 lg. onion, thinly sliced
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 c. water
- 3 lg. tart apples, cut into eighths
- 1 c. raisins (opt.)
- Cooked rice
- Combine flour, salt, pepper and dredge meat.
- Brown meat in drippings.
- Pour off excess.
- Add in bay leaf, curry, cloves, sugar, onion, garlic and water.
- Cover tightly and cook slowly for 2 hrs.
- Add in apple and raisins and cook 45 min.
- Throw away bay leaf and garlic and serve over rice.
- Serves 6.
