Sweet and Sour Meatballs

  1. Drain pineapple; reserve liquid.
  2. In a large saucepan, stir together pineapple liquid, syrup, and vinegar.
  3. Add meatballs.
  4. Bring to boiling; reduce heat.
  5. Simmer, covered, for 15 minutes.
  6. Remove seeds from sweet peppers and cut into 3/4-inch pieces.
  7. Add to meatballs.
  8. Simmer, covered, for 5 minutes.
  9. In a bowl, stir together water, cornstarch and salt until smooth.
  10. Stir into meatball mixture.
  11. Cook and stir 1 to 2 minutes or until thickened and bubbly.
  12. Stir in pineapple chunks; heat through.
  13. Serve over hot cooked noodles or rice.
  14. Makes 4 servings.
