plum glaze
- 1 cup pineapple juice
- 1/2 cup finely chopped yellow onions
- 1/3 cup honey
- 2 tbsp rice vinegar
- 2 tbsp thinly sliced ginger
- 2 tsp minced garlic
- 2/3 cup firmly packed dark brown sugar
- 1/4 cup dry sherry
- 2 tbsp red wine vinegar
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp hot mustard powder
- 4 large plums quartered and pitted
- 1 tsp sesame seed oil
- 1 dash kosher salt to taste
- put marinate on meat put into refrigerator 8-12 hours.
- remove meat /ribs boil glaze add the marinate to glaze return to boil reduce heat simmer till plums fall apart you can strain if you like .
- half the cup for serving with ribs the other half for basting ribs
