Ranch Hands' Grilled Tri-Tip
- 1 tri-tip steak (1 1/2 to 2 pounds), trimmed
- Seasoning salt
- Pico de gallo or chunky salsa, for serving
- Preheat a grill to 450 degrees F.
- Dust the tri tip generously with seasoning salt and then place it on the hot grill, fatty side down.
- Grill for 10 minutes on each side, turning often, for a juicy medium rare.
- Remove from grill and let rest before slicing at an angle against the grain of meat.
- Serve with pico de gallo or chunky salsa, if desired.
