Sausage Balls With Cheese
- 1 lb. mild pork sausage
- 3/4 c. dry bread crumbs
- 1/3 c. chicken broth
- 1/8 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp. poultry seasoning
- 1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. paprika
- 2 c. (8 oz.) sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/2 c. margarine, softened
- Combine first 5 ingredients.
- Shape into 1-inch balls.
- Cook over low heat until brown on all sides.
- Drain on paper towels. Combine flour, salt, paprika and cheese.
- Cut in margarine with pastry blender.
- It will be dry.
- Mix with hands until dough is smooth.
- Shape dough around the cooked sausage ball.
- Place on greased baking sheet.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 15 to 20 minutes.
- May be frozen before cooking.
- Yields 4 dozen balls.
