Italian Parmesian Croutons for Soups
- 2 tbsp grated parmesian with basil and oregano (see photo)
- 6 cup 2-3 inch cubed italian seasoned bread
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- preheat oven to 350F
- using a pastry brush .. brush a thin layer of olive oil on cookie sheet, or foil/parchment lined cookie sheet.
- spread out bread cubes in a single layer.
- brush top of cubes with more olive oil in a thin layer.
- using a shaker or as I do( use my sifter) and sprinkle cheese all over the bread cubes.
- toss bread cubes in pan to get the rest of parm onto cubes.. replace in single layer..
- bake 15-20 minutes tossing every 5 minutes.
- until cubes are crispy andd browned nicely or till desired doneness..
- let cool and serve on soup.
- or store in air tight container.
