Guacamole Sirloin Burger
- 1 whole Large Sweet Onion
- 2 Tablespoons Emerils Original Essence
- 1/2 cups Olive Oil
- 1 pound Ground Sirloin
- 1 teaspoon Seasoned Salt
- 1/4 teaspoons Pepper
- 1 teaspoon Dry Mustard
- 1/4 teaspoons Garlic Salt
- 1 whole Egg, Beaten
- 3 Tablespoons Jack Daniels Steak Sauce
- 6 pieces Whole Wheat Hamburger Buns
- 6 slices Cheddar-jack Cheese
- Guacamole
- 1 cup Ketchup
- 1/4 cups Dijon Mustard
- 1 cup Sour Cream
- For the grilled onions:
- 1.
- Slice onion into thick slices, then pull the rings apart and set aside in a bowl.
- 2.
- Mix together the Emerils Essence and olive oil in a large mug.
- 3.
- Put the onions on the grill on medium heat, on a grill pan so they do not fall through the grates.
- 4.
- Use a grill brush to baste the onions with the oil mixture and continue to turn and baste until they are nice and brown.
- This should take about 15 minutes.
- 5.
- Once done, set aside in a bowl and then put in the microwave to stay warm.
- For the burgers:
- 1.
- Mix sirloin, salt, pepper, mustard, garlic salt, egg and steak sauce in a bowl.
- 2.
- Form into 6 medium-sized patties.
- I like them small so that they cook evenly.
- 3.
- Take your hamburgers out to the grill and cook on medium heat.
- I use the same pan from the onions to give it flavor.
- It should take about 10 minutes on each side depending on how you like yours cooked.
- 4.
- Put your bun on a plate and spread enough French Fry Sauce to coat the bottom.
- To make the sauce, mix the ketchup, mustard and sour cream together in a bowl and stir until creamy.
- 5.
- Then add one piece of cheese and then your hamburger patty.
- 6.
- Then add your grilled onions that you have been keeping warm to the top of the hamburger patty and add a thick layer of guacamole to the top of the bun.
- 7.
- Tada!
- Here is your juicy Guacamole Sirloin Burger ready be devoured.
- Enjoy!
