Rogene's Bread Pudding With Vanilla Sauce

  1. To make bread pudding: mix everything but raisins.
  2. Set aside.
  3. In a 9x13 inch baking dish layer bread halfway up.
  4. Pour mixture over.
  5. Sprinkle raisins on top.
  6. Bake at 350 degrees for approx 45-60 minutes, checking often for a knife to come out clean.
  7. To make sauce: Heat all ingredients except the vanilla over medium heat, stirring constantly.
  8. Bring to a boil and boil for 5 minutes.
  9. Remove from heat and add vanilla.
  10. Spoon yourself out some bread pudding and top it off with the sauce and some cool whip.
