Peanut Butter and Oatmeal Drops
- 3/4 cup vegetable shortening
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 3/4 cup brown sugar packed
- 1/2 cup sugar granulated
- 3 large eggs large
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups flour, unbleached all-purpose
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup rolled oats quick cooking rolled
- 1 cup peanuts chopped
- Cream together shortening, peanut butter, and sugars until light and fluffy; add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each.
- Blend in milk and vanilla.
- Thoroughly stir together flour, soda, and salt; stir into creamed mixture.
- Stir in oats and peanuts.
- Drop from teaspoon 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet.
- Bake in preheated 350F (180C) oven for 10 to 12 minutes.
