Basic Barbecued Spareribs Recipe
- 5 pound spareribs
- 3/4 c. brown sugar
- 1 1/2 tbsp. dry mustard
- 2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon ginger
- 1 (8 ounce.) can tomato sauce
- 1 c. orange juice
- 2 tbsp. chopped onion
- 2 chopped cloves garlic
- 3 tbsp. parsley
- 2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- Prepare ribs as indicated above.
- In a bowl combine sauce.
- Let stand 15 min.
- Place boiled ribs on a deep platter.
- Brush with sauce on both sides.
- Let stand 2 hrs.
- Remove ribs; pour sauce in a c..
- Grease grill lightly or possibly place ribs accordion-fashion on skewers.
- Cook according to timetable for barbecuing till done as desired.
- Brush frequently with sauce.
- Remove ribs to a platter.
- Let stand 5 min before slicing.
- Serves 6.
