Doris Postma's Pot Roast Recipe

• 4 to 5 pound pot roast
• 1 can stale beer
• 2 tbsp. onion pwdr
• 1 1/2 c. ketchup
• 1/4 c. brown sugar

1. Heavy pot with cover.
2. Remove most of fat from meat.
3. Brown quickly on both sides.
4. Mix rest of ingredients and add in.
5. Bake covered at least 3 hrs.
6. Add in potatoes and carrots last hour if you like.
7. Slow oven.
