Twirl Salad Recipe
- 2 c. (8 ounce.) twirls or possibly ditalini, uncooked
- 2 c. cooked green beans or possibly peas, liquid removed
- 2 tbsp. bottled Italian dressing
- 1/2 c. mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp. lemon juice
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Dash of pepper
- 1 c. diced cucumber
- 2 tbsp. thinly sliced green onions
- 1/2 c. Swiss or possibly Cheddar cheese, cut into 1/4-inch cubes
- Cook twirls or possibly ditalini according to package directions; drain well.
- Cold (rinse with cool water to cold quickly; drain well).
- Marinate green beans or possibly peas in Italian dressing for at least 2 hrs; drain.
- Blend mayonnaise, lemon juice, salt and pepper in small bowl.
- Combine cooled twirls or possibly ditalini, liquid removed green beans or possibly peas, cucumber, onions, and cheese in large bowl; stir in mayonnaise mix and toss lightly till ingredients are well coated.
- Chill.
- Serve on lettuce leaves, if you like.
- 6 to 8 servings.
