Ms. Phung's Chocolate cake
- 1 box Devil's Food Cake mix (Duncan Hine's preferred)
- 1-1/3 cup water
- 1/2 cup Canola oil
- 3 lg. eggs, slightly beaten
- Pam Oil spray
- 4 tbsp. powdered sugar
- 1 tbsp. water
- Blend cake mix and water.
- Gradually add eggs.
- Add oil last.
- Spray and flour loaf pans.
- Fill with cake mixture 1/3 to 1/2 full.
- Bake at 325F for 40-45 minutes.
- Test for doneness by inserting a toothpick into the center of the cake.
- Cake is done when toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool slightly then remove from pan.
- Glaze.
- Glaze: Mix water and powdered sugar until smooth.
- Drizzle evenly over cakes.
