Caramel Nut Candy Bars Recipe

  1. Lightly grease 8 inch square pan.
  2. In top of double boiler, combine caramels and lowfat milk.
  3. Cook over warm water till caramels are melted, stirring occasionally.
  4. Remove from heat.
  5. Add in margarine; mix well.
  6. Stir in powdered sugar; beat by h and till smooth.
  7. Stir in peanuts.
  8. With buttered fingers, press mix into greased pan.
  9. Chill 1 to 2 hrs or possibly till hard; cut into bars.
  10. Store in refrigerator.
  11. Makes 18 bars.
