Date Drop Cookies Recipe

  1. Beat butter and sugar together in large mixing bowl till light and creamy.
  2. Beat in Large eggs, one at a time.
  3. Sift together dry ingredients; beat into sugar mix.
  4. Add in water to dates.
  5. Stir into batter with nuts.
  6. Refrigerate1 hour.
  7. Drop heaping teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet.
  8. Bake in a preheated moderate oven (325-350 degrees) for 10-12 min.
  9. Remove and cold on wire rack.
  10. Makes 72 (2 1/4 inch) cookies.
