Perfect Rolled Sugar Cookies Recipe

• 1 c. butter
• 1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
• 1 egg
• 2 3/4 c. flour
• 1 teaspoon almond flavor
• 1/2 teaspoon vanilla flavor
• 1 teaspoon soda
• 1 teaspoon cream of tartar

1. Cream shortening and sugar; add in egg and flavoring.
2. Blend in dry ingredients.
3. Roll out on lightly floured board to 1/4" thick.
4. Dip cutters in flour.
5. Bake on cookie sheet about 8 min at 350 degrees.
6. Sprinkle on colored sugars before baking if you wish, or possibly can be frosted after baking.
