Chocolate Caramel Bars Recipe
- 1 pkg. German chocolate mix (Betty Crocker with pudding)
- 1/2 c. softened butter
- 1 (14 ounce.) pkg. caramels
- 1 egg
- 1/2 c. cream
- 1/2 c. nuts
- 1/2 c. butter
- GLAZE: 1/2 c. creamy deluxe chocolate ready to spread frosting.
- Add in water by the tsp.
- till reach consistency.
- Mix cake mix, soft butter, egg.
- Reserve 1 1/2 c.. Press remaining in 9 x 13 inch pan.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 min.
- Cold 10 min.
- Heat butter, lowfat milk, caramel on low heat till caramels heat.
- Pour over crust and sprinkle nuts and rest of mix.
- Bake 25 to 30 min.
- Drizzle glaze.
- Loosen edges and chill one hour.
- Cut into bars.
- NOTE: Makes 36 bars.
