Easy & Homemade Sauce for Chilled Chinese Noodles
- 3 tbsp Soy sauce
- 2 tbsp Vinegar
- 1 tbsp Sugar
- 1/2 tbsp Sake
- 1/2 tbsp Mirin
- 1 tbsp Sesame oil
- 1 tbsp Water
- 1/2 tbsp Roasted sesame seeds (optional)
- 1/2 tbsp Japanese mustard (optional)
- When you have the time, place the ingredients into a pot and bring it to a boil.
- Use it after it has cooled.
- When making this for children, omit the Japanese mustard.
- When you are really pinched for time, mix all of the ingredients really really well, but only if you're in a rush.
- I recommend substituting doubanjiang or gochujiang for the Japanese mustard for a slightly different spin of the dish.
