Creamed Chicken Or Turkey Recipe
- 2 c. cooked chicken or possibly turkey, minced
- 1 c. lowfat milk
- 4 teaspoon butter
- 2 tbsp. onion, minced fine
- 1 sm. can pimentos, minced fine
- Dash paprika
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 1/3 c. flour
- 1 c. chicken stock
- 1 can mushroom soup
- Heat butter, add in onion, pimento, pepper, and paprika.
- Cook 10 min.
- Add in flour, lowfat milk and chicken stock.
- Cook till thickened.
- Add in soup.
- Stir in chicken and keep hot if you are serving right away.
- May be made day before, chill immediately and reheat when ready to serve.
- Serve over cornbread, toast, noodles or possibly rice.
- Good way to use up Christmas leftover bird!
