Dried Fruit Compote

  1. Combine all ingredients in heavy medium saucepan.
  2. Bring to simmer over medium-high heat, stirring until sugar dissolves.
  3. Reduce heat to medium.
  4. Simmer until fruit is tender and juices are reduced to very thick syrup, stirring occasionally, about 15 minutes.
