  1. Rinse and pick over the beans.
  2. Combine all the ingredients except the cheese in a 6 qt.
  3. (or larger) slow cooker and cook on low for 8 hours.
  4. Taste for seasoning and add salt and pepper as desired.
  5. Serve with Parmesan sprinkled on top.
