Strawberry Punch

  1. Mash 4 cups berries with 1/2 cup sugar.
  2. Let stand 1 hour.
  3. Force through strainer.
  4. Add rest of the ingredients to chilled punch bowl.
  5. Garnish with berries and serve.
  6. (For large groups, I like to make a batch ahead sans ginger ale, freeze the punch in a ring mold and use that instead of ice cubes.
  7. Lemon and orange slices placed at bottom of mold and freeze well).
