Shirley'S Nutty Pretzel Strawberry Salad
- 2 c. crushed pretzels
- 1 1/4 sticks margarine, melted
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 8 oz. cream cheese
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 pkg. unflavored gelatin
- 2 Tbsp. water
- 8 oz. whipped topping
- 1 (6 oz.) pkg. strawberry gelatin
- 2 c. boiling water
- 1/2 pkg. unflavored gelatin
- 2 Tbsp. water
- 1 qt. strawberries
- Mix pretzels, margarine and 2 tablespoons sugar.
- Pat in pan and bake at 350u0b0 for 10 minutes.
- Blend cheese and 1 cup sugar. Add 1/2 package gelatin, which has been mixed with 2 tablespoons water.
- Fold in topping and spread over cooled pretzel mix.
- Mix strawberry gelatin and boiling water.
- Stir in 1/2 package unflavored gelatin, which has been mixed with 2 tablespoons water. Add strawberries.
- Let thicken or partially set.
- Spread over cream cheese layer.
- Refrigerate 1 hour before serving.
- Serves 10 to 12.
