Hoisin Meatballs
- 1 lb ground pork
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 1/2 oz wasabi paste
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp ground ginger
- 2 tbsp onion powder
- 2 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
- 1 tbsp ground celery seed
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp dried basil
- 2 tsp ground mustard
- 1 1/2 cup hoisin sauce
- 1 cup grape jelly
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1 salt and white pepper
- Combine jelly, hoisin, and ketchup.
- Reduce by 1/4.
- Combine all remaining ingredients.
- Mix thoroughly.
- Form small meat balls.
- Roast at 350 for approximately 20-25 minutes or until thermometer reaches 155
- Variations; parsley, thyme, sesame oil, soy sauce, rosemary
