Chicken Harissa - Armenian Dish

  1. Marinate chicken in 1 tablespoon chicken masala in a bowl for 10 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and saute chicken pieces over medium heat until brown (3 minutes each side)
  3. In a seperate heat 1 tablespoon oil, add cumin seeds, cook 1 minute.
  4. Add onions, ginger, garlic paste cook 4 minutes.
  5. Add 1 Tablespoon masala, yogurt, tomato sauce and green chillies.
  6. Add chicken and chickpeas with liquid.
  7. Mix well, bring to a boil and reduce heat.
  8. Simmer over low heat for 20 mins.
  9. covered.
  10. Sprinkle chopped cilantro before serving.
