Tri-coloured Popcorn

  1. Note: Divide all the ingredients into thirds, one portion for each colour and flavouring combination.
  2. The instructions below are for each portion of ingredient, so youll repeat the process for each colour/flavour combination.
  3. To a saucepan, add sugar, corn syrup, butter, salt, and cream of tartar.
  4. Stir to combine and continue to stir until the mixture reaches a boil.
  5. Cook to about 235 degrees F without stirring; dont let the mixture start to change colour.
  6. Remove from heat and let the mixture stop boiling.
  7. Add your desired flavouring and colour.
  8. Add baking soda and stir.
  9. Quickly add to popcorn and mix gently to coat corn.
  10. Spread out onto a greased cookie sheet.
  11. Break into pieces when cooled.
