Mozzarella Sticks

  1. In a bowl, beat egg until frothy.
  2. In another bowl, combine bread crumbs and parmesan.
  3. Cut each cheese stick in half (package contains 12 sticks, should have 24 sticks after slicing).
  4. Coat sticks in egg, then in bread crumb mixture.
  5. Repeat (you want the sticks to be well coated).
  6. After sticks are coated, place in freezer for 2 hours.
  7. (Double coating helps them keep their shape.

  9. Heat deep fryer to 375 degrees.
  10. Put mozzarella sticks in deep fryer for about 4 minutes (watch closely so the sticks don't burn).
  11. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce --- ranch, marinara, or barbecue!
