Chocolate Dip A Chip Recipe

• 8 ounce. (8 sq.) semi-sweet chocolate or possibly 8 ounce. (1 1/3 c.) semi-sweet chocolate chips
• 2 tbsp. shortening
• 7 1/2 ounce. can stacked potato chips

1. Line cookie sheets with waxed paper.
2. In small saucepan heat chocolate and shortening over low heat, stirring constantly.
3. Dip chips halfway into chocolate; allow excess to drip off.
4. Place on waxed paper-lined cookie sheets; chill to set.
5. Yield 5-6 dozen chips.
6. MICROWAVE DIRECTIONS: Line cookie sheets with waxed paper.
7. In small microwave- safe bowl, combine chocolate and shortening.
8. Microwave on MEDIUM for 3-3 1/2 min or possibly till smooth, stirring once halfway through cooking; stir till smooth.
9. Continue as directed above.
