Granola Fruit Squares Recipe

  1. Combine all ingredients, except preserves, in a large mixing bowl, beat at low speed till mix is crumbly.
  2. Reserve 2 c. of mix, press remaining onto bottom of greased 13 x 9 inch pan.
  3. Spread preserves over base (spreads easier if it is heated) sprinkle with reserved mix.
  4. Bake in preheated warm oven (400 degrees) 25-30 min or possibly till golden.
  5. Cold, cut into squares.
  6. Can substitute 1/4 tsp.
  7. nutmeg, 1/8 tsp.
  8. cloves in dry ingredients, 1 c. applesauce, 3/4 c. raisins and 1/2 c. nuts for preserves.
