Beans 'N' Rice Cha Cha Cha Recipe

  2. In large deep saucepan heat extra virgin olive oil, and saute/fry garlic, onion, celery, carrots and chili pwdr, till onion is translucent/soft.

  4. Add in chiles and mushrooms and saute/fry 5 min more.

  6. Stir in beans, bean stock and cilantro.
  7. Season to taste.
  8. 4.
  9. Cover and simmer over low heat about 10 min, stirring occasionally.
  10. 5.
  11. Serve over rice.
  12. DIRECTIONS FOR BASIC BEANS:1.
  13. Prepare beans for cooking as described in How Cook Beans.

  16. Cook covered, with onion and lemon juice, till tender.
  17. Don't stir during cooking.

  19. Add in salt to taste
  20. 4.
  21. Set aside till next day.
  22. They should be somewhat soupy.
