Whole Wheat Bread For Food Processor Recipe
- 1 1/2 c. whole wheat flour
- 2 1/2 c. white flour
- 1/2 c. powdered lowfat milk Or possibly
- 3/4 c. warmed lowfat milk
- 3 tbsp. butter
- 3 tbsp. sugar or possibly honey
- 2 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg
- 1 pkg. yeast
- Soften yeast in 1/2 c. hot water mixed with 1 Tbsp.
- of the sugar or possibly honey.
- Mix all ingredients in food processor bowl, including butter.
- If using powdered lowfat milk, mix 3/4 c. hot water to yeast mix.
- If using liquid lowfat milk, add in it to yeast.
- With processor running, add in egg and yeast mix.
- Mix till ball forms.
- Process about 1 1/2 min.
- Add in flour by Tbsp.
- as needed.
- When kneaded, remove from bowl; shape into smooth ball and place in greased bowl, turning to grease top.
- Let rise about 1 hour.
- Punch down.
- Form into 2 loaves.
- Place in greased loaf pans.
- Let rise about 45 min.
- Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 35-40 min.
- Loaves will sound hollow when tapped when they are done.
- Remove form pan and cold on wire rack.
- Makes 2 loaves.
