Desperate Braised Pork Chops -- Gringo Soul

  1. Season Pork Chops to taste.
  2. The measurements are guidelines.
  3. Heat heavy skillet to medium with 2 T of oil.
  4. Saute onions and garlic until translucent about 5 minute Set aside.
  5. In same skillet brown pork chops over med/high heat.
  6. for about 3 minute each side.
  7. Transfer onion and garlic back to pan.
  8. Add liquid.
  9. Bring to boil.
  10. Cover pan and turn down heat to lowest setting.
  11. Cook for 45 min to hour until fork tender.
  12. Start checking pan after 30 min adding liquid if necessary.
  13. When pork chops are tender, remove from pan.
  14. Reduce liquid over medium heat if necessary to make gravy.
  15. Put pork chops back in gravy.
  16. Serve over rice.
