Simmered Potatoes

  1. Peel the potatoes and cut into 4 pieces.
  2. Put the dashi stock and potatoes into a pot and bring to a boil.
  3. Once boiling, add the sugar and cover with a drop lid.
  4. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Add the remaining ingredients and let simmer for 15 minutes over medium-low heat.
  6. When the potatoes have softened, raise the heat to high and evaporate the liquid.
  7. "Shimeji Mushrooms & Edamame Flavored Rice".
  8. "Nikujaga (Meat & Potato Stew)".
  9. "Boiled Sesame Kombu Seaweed".
  10. "Salmon Chanchan-Yaki (Grilled Salmon with Vegetables)".
