Easy Split Pea Soup - Split Pea Soup
- 2 cups (475 ml) dried split peas
- 4 cups (950 ml) hot water
- 2 tbsp (30 ml) Monterey Steak Seasoning
- 1 medium-sized sweet onion, diced
- 1 cup (225 ml) Jimmy Dean Sausage (medium or hot), crumbled and browned
- Soak split peas overnight and drain.
- Place all ingredients in large pot.
- Bring to boil.
- Simmer on low with tilted cover for 1 hour.
