Southern Baked Mac & Cheese
- 3 cup uncooked macaroni or pasta of choice
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 1/2 cup milk
- 1 salt & pepper
- 1 cup smoked chedder, shredded
- 1 old bay (optional)(add any seasonings of choice here)
- 8 oz velveeta cheese, shredded (cut back for less creamy)
- 1 cup sharp chedder, shredded
- 1 cup Colby & Montgomery jack cheese blend, shredded
- Preheat oven 350
- Cook macaroni or pasta of choice; drain, set aside.
- In a large bowl add milk, heavy cream and cheeses, except smoked chedder
- Stir to combine
- Talk milk mixture, add salt & pepper until good.
- Add old bay or other seasonings here.
- Add eggs and stir.
- Butter 9x9 dish
- Pour milk/cheese mixture over macaroni.
- Top with smoked chedder.
- Bake 35-45.
- Cool 10-15.
