Butterscotch Pie

  1. Combine flour, 1 tablespoon sugar, brown sugar and egg yolks in saucepan; mix well.
  2. Add milk, water, butter and salt.
  3. Cook over low heat until thickened, stirring constantly.
  4. Stir in vanilla. Spoon into pie shell.
  5. Beat egg whites in mixer bowl until soft peaks form.
  6. Add remaining 1/4 cup sugar gradually, beating until stiff peaks form.
  7. Spread over top of pie, sealing to edge.
  8. Bake at 325u0b0 for 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
  9. Yield:
  10. 6 servings.
