Gratineed Onion Soup Made with Fu Dried Wheat Gluten
- 5 to 6 pieces Fu (dried wheat gluten)
- 1 Onion
- 5 to 6 tablespoons Pizza cheese
- 1 tbsp Butter
- 500 ml Water
- 1 Soup stock cube
- 1 Salt and pepper
- 1 Chopped parsley
- Rehydrate the fu in water.
- (I used a type of fu that you slice off that I got from a friend.)
- Thinly slice the onion, and saute in butter slowly.
- Add water and soup stock cube to the onion, and season with salt and pepper.
- Put the soup in a heatproof soup mug.
- Top with a piece of wrung out fu from Step 1, and add cheese.
- Toast in a toaster oven for 5 to 6 minutes, sprinkle chopped parsley and it's done.
- (Adjust the cooking time depending on your toaster oven.)
