Jessie's Broccoli Cheese Soup

  1. Saute onions and carrots in butter or margarine in a fry pan until tender.
  2. Add flour to make a roux.
  3. Add the bullion cubes to the boiling water.
  4. Add the roux to the water.
  5. Use a wire wisk stirring until smooth.
  6. Add the Cheeze Whiz, half and half, liquid smoke, salt and pepper.
  7. Simmer on low, stirring often for about 20 minutes.
  8. Add broccoli tops and cook until tender, about another 25 minutes.
