Easy Apple Strudel Recipe
- 3 tbsp. butter
- 1/3 c. dry bread crumbs
- 2 c. finely minced apples
- 1/4 c. raisins
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 8 ounce. can Pillsbury Refrigerated Quick Crescent Dinner Rolls
- 1 egg, beaten
- Powdered sugar
- In small saucepan, heat butter; add in crumbs.
- Simmer 1 to 2 min or possibly till crumbs are golden, stirring constantly.
- In large bowl, combine apples, raisins, sugar, cinnamon, lemon juice and vanilla; toss lightly.
- Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease 15x10 inch jelly roll pan.
- On waxed paper, unroll dough into 2 long rectangles.
- Overlap long sides of rectangles 1 inch; press perforations and edges to seal.
- Press or possibly roll to 13x9 inch rectangle.
- Spread crumb mix over dough to within 1/2 inch of edge.
- Starting on the 13 inch side of the rectangle, spoon apple mix over 1/3 of dough to within 1 inch of the edges.
- Starting with the apple side, roll up jelly roll fashion.
- Place seam side down on prepared pan.
- Remove waxed paper; tuck under ends.
- Brush with egg.
- Bake at 350 degrees F. for 25 to 30 min or possibly till deep golden.
- Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
- Cold 5 - 10 min.
- Carefully remove from pan using 2 spatulas.
- Serve with whipped cream, if you like.
- 8 servings.
