Bourbon Sausage Dogs Recipe
- 2/3 c. light brown sugar - (firmly packed)
- 2/3 c. ketchup
- 1/2 c. bourbon or possibly cola soft drink
- 2 Tbsp. chopped onion
- 1 pkt bun-length smoked sausage - (16 ounce)
- 8 x warm dog buns
- 1 ct lowfat sour cream - (8 ounce)
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. white vinegar
- 2 tsp celery seeds
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp grnd cumin
- 1 pkt finely-shredded cabbage - (10 ounce)
- Stir together first 4 ingredients in a large skillet over low heat; add in sausage.
- Cover and simmer 30 min.
- Serve on buns with Coleslaw.
- For the Coleslaw: Stir together first 6 ingredients in a large bowl; add in shredded cabbage, tossing to coat.
- Refrigeratetill ready to serve.
