Hors d'Oeuvre Tomato Salad
- 2 Ripe tomatoes
- 1/3 Onion
- 1 Parsley (or shiso leaves)
- 1 tbsp Ground white sesame seeds
- 2 tbsp Soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Vinegar
- 1 tbsp Vegetable oil + a little sesame oil
- Chop the onion finely (it doesn't have to be ultra-fine).
- Put the onion in a bowl of water.
- Combine the ingredients.
- Slice the tomatoes horizontally into round slices, and spread them out on a serving plate.
- Cut up the edges that you can't slice properly and put them on the sides of the plate.
- Sprinkle the drained onion on the tomatoes.
- Sprinkle on some chopped fresh parsley, or shredded shiso if you don't have parsley.
- Add the ground sesame seeds.
- Pour the sauce you made in Step 3 over all.
- Chill in the refrigerator and it's done.
